Who is allowed to do what?

MailDesk has three roles with different permissions:

Owner

  • Full control over the organization
  • Can delete the organization
  • Can change the plan and manage billing details
  • Can manage other Owners, Admins, and Members
  • Can manage AI configuration and API keys
  • There is always exactly one Owner

Admin

  • Can set up and edit mailboxes
  • Can manage the knowledge base (categories, articles)
  • Can invite and remove members
  • Can create and manage teams
  • Can edit, assign, archive, and delete tickets

Member

  • Can edit and respond to tickets
  • Can assign and take over tickets
  • Can write internal notes
  • Can use the AI assistant
  • Cannot change settings or manage members
